We Love Bananas!
Bananas are our favourite fruit, so when we discovered how amazing New Zealand grown bananas were, it made perfect sense for us to grow them.
Our Story
In 2022 we discovered New Zealand grown bananas for the first time, and have never looked back. Our love for bananas has grown into an obsession. An obsession with growing great tasting fruit and the best varieties suitable for our microclimate. Emphasis is placed on quality over quantity. We put into the soil only what it needs, resulting in healthy soil, plants and fruit.
We love our land as much as we love growing bananas and we have chosen to grow around and between mature trees. Our little slice of paradise is off the beaten track and surrounded by thick native bush that helps protect our bananas from the wind. Tall stands of Totara, Puriri and Kahikatea, interspersed with ferns and volcanic rock are home to Tui, Kereru, Kotare and Ruru. Mokomoko play hide and seek in our orchard and it's not unusual to see our resident Kahu flying in wide sweeping circles above our bananas, ready to swoop in on any pesky pukeko. ​​​​​​​​
